RSG Software GmbH is a young and dynamic university spin-off. With trusted clients across different Industries and Europe, RSG develops advanced Forecasting software solutions for large international companies. In addition to a small development team in Hamburg, we strongly collaborate with the Lancaster Research Centre for Forecasting, with 6 full time equivalent academic positions, 2 post-doc and 10 PhD positions the largest research unit in Forecasting in Europe, based in Lancaster, England.

Required Qualifications:

Master in Management Science, Operational Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (PhD in a related area preferred)
2+ years of experience in C#, .NET programming for developing analytical solutions, preferably Microsoft certified.
Mathlab, R and / or SAS knowledge a plus.
MS SQL Server experience a plus.
Initial working knowledge on algorithms in forecasting, time series prediction / classification or clustering
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills in English, preferably also in German
Ability to work analytically, independently and as a part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Superior organizational, problem solving, and time management abilities
Passionate about providing solutions to challenging technical problems
Flexibility in travel to work at the office or on client sites for short to medium time periods.

Required Tasks:

Involved in developing analytical routines, algorithms and methodologies for forecasting software applications
Collaborate with the team to build scalable, robust software applications
Investigate new technologies & approaches as new features are implemented and tools are developed
Actively participate in design reviews and analyze software designs
Resolve issues and fix defects identified internally or by customers
Interact with support & services teams as needed to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with the products.
